The Misericordia University Communications Department recently hosted former television anchorwoman and journalist Kim Supon for a talk with students in the COM 251 class, Public Relations Principles and Practices, taught by Rita Dibble, adjunct faculty member and assistant director of development. Supon shared a look at her extensive journalism career, which included being the morning news anchor at WNEP-TV for eight years. She discussed career opportunities in the news and public relations fields, and the academic courses needed for success in those areas with the students.Taking the opportunity to talk about careers in journalism and public relations with an experienced television anchorwoman, Misericordia University students spent time with Kim Supon, former member of the WNEP-TV news team during her recent visit to campus at right.
