On Friday, July 3, Rotary of the Abingtons hosted its annual Fourth of July Fireworks celebration at the Abington Heights Middle School. The event has been a community favorite for over 20 years, drawing in crowds from 3,000 to 5,000. Providing free admission, the Rotary Club views the yearly event as a way to say thank you to the community who helps them out all year long. In addition to Chairman Ed Nuzzaci, a committee made up of Chuck Parry, Trip Crowley and Steve Selige was busy behind the scenes, securing the fireworks contract, setting up tents and organizing vendors, to make sure the event was a success.
