The Neuroscience Program at the University of Scranton under the direction of Timothy Cannon, Ph.D., and the Northeast Pennsylvania Area Heath Education Center (NEPA AHEC) are pleased to announce the Ninth Annual Brain Bee.
The local Brain Bee will be held February 9 at the University of Scranton in Brennan Hall, Room 228 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The first place winner will receive $400 and a $1,000 scholarship to the University of Scranton. Second and third place winners will each receive $50. The first place winner also qualifies for The International Brain Bee 2008 to be held at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
All students in grades nine to 12 are invited to compete. To register, contact Timothy Cannon, Ph.D., at the University of Scranton at or 941-4266. Registrants must include their name, school name, grade, phone and individual email, if available. The registration deadline is February 1.
