South Abington Police Department will hold its annual fishing derby at Lackawanna State in the early part of the day on Saturday, July 12, while the Abington Area Joint Recreation Board will host a Pig Roast and Chicken BBQ at the Abington Area Community Park from noon until dusk.
Families can bring their young fishermen over to the park for meals and more fishing. The public is invited.
