Friends and family welcomed back Clarks Summit resident, specialist (SPC) Michael Jordan with a homecoming party on Saturday, September 13.
Jordan spent more than four years as an SPC in the Army, including expeditions overseas. After Jordan signed up for service in the 70th Engineers, he spent a year touring Iraq in 2004 and 15 months in Afghanistan in 2007.
For his time in Afghanistan, Jordan became recipient of a Purple Heart medal after coming under heavy enemy fire.
He arrived back home to his wife Amanda and his children Kai and Helen during the last week of August.
