Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania joined forces with the Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County, Marywood University, Penn State Worthington Scranton and The University of Scranton to help nursing students complete their education. As part of a statewide effort started back in 2004 by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Foundation, Blue Cross provided more than $74,300 in scholarships during the 2009-10 school year to students studying nursing at these institutions.
