Mercy Health Partners Interim President and CEO John M. Starcher Jr. announced that Sr. Marie Parker, RSM has returned to Mercy Hospital as Vice President of Mission Services. Sr. Marie was Regional Director of Educational Services for the Mercy Health System from 1995 to 1998 and previously served as Vice President of Mission Services at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre from 1990 to 1995.
Previously, Sr. Marie Parker served as Vice President of the Sisters of Mercy, Dallas Regional Community and was a Leadership Team member for eight years. In that role she served on numerous committees for the Sisters of Mercy. Her multifaceted duties included administration, planning, philanthropy, communications and spirituality.
Active throughout the community, Sr. Marie Parker currently serves on the Board of Directors of Marian Woods, Hartsdale, NY and on the Spiritual Life and Convocation Process Committees of the Sisters of Mercy, Mid-Atlantic Community. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Catholic Health Association, Harrisburg, PA and was a member of the Co-Sponsorship Council of Catholic Health Partners, Cincinnati, OH.
Sr. Marie served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Mount Aloysius College, Cresson and the Board of Directors of United Way of Wyoming Valley.
She officially began her duties at Mercy Health Partners, Scranton on December 1.
