On Tuesday, November 11, folks all around the area celebrated Veterans Day by honoring the memories of those of have fought and lost their lives for this country.
Abington Memorial Post 7069 hosted a flag raising for the residents of Allied Service on the Morgan Highway at 10:30 a.m.
That same day, students at Lackawanna Trail High School and elementary attended a special Veterans Day assembly. The assembly at the High School featured a one man show where Michael X. Fallon, of the Scranton Public Theater, plays the part of Gino Merli.
