Shirley J. Quick, Clarks Summit, died Monday, Jan. 28, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, FL. Her husband is Jonas C. Quick, the couple was married 55 years last June.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rose Ekey Deming. She has been a resident of Glenburn Twp. since 1962. Prior to retirement she was a cafeteria worker for the Abington Heights School District for 26 years.
Surviving are a son, Bruce, Nicholson; a daughter Katherine Nesko, and her husband, Michael, Clarks Summit; one grandson, Cody Quick; two granddaughters, Jessica and Amy Altieri, and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Madison. She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
A funeral service was to be held on Feb. 2 at 1p.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Norman T. Faux, pastor of the Chinchilla United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glendale. Go to to sign the online guest book.
