WinterDAZE lets students experience college, tubing

First Posted: 1/13/2010

WinterDAZE gives future students an exciting opportunity to mix a first-hand experience at Baptist Bible College with winter sports at a nearby resort. Visitors will spend time with BBC students as they stay for two nights in a dorm, attend classes, meet and talk with professors, participate in chapel and catch a BBC Defenders basketball game in the gym. While on campus, visitors will meet their admissions counselor, learn more about 30 undergraduate programs and discuss the BBC athletic program with coaches.
The full weekend of events includes: special time with guest speaker Jeff Stimpson, student ministries pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Ky., and a board member of Vision for Youth; scheduled time to attend two BBC classes; snow tubing and recreation at Sno Mountain Ski Resort outside Scranton; dinner Friday night at the resort; and a campus-wide Clue game. Registration cost for the weekend is $25, which includes lodging, meals, a T-shirt, admission to the basketball game and tubing fees.
