After 25 years living abroad, pianist Gilbert Gambucci, a native of Jessup, returns to the area for benefit concert to benefit underprivledged children of Brazil. A graduate of Valley View High School and the Ithaca College School of Music in Ithaca, New York, he has given piano concerts on three continents and lectures internationally about the role of the arts in society. The upcoming benefit concert will be held at the Valley View High School auditorium Thursday, May 27 at 7 p.m. In addition, he will present a lecture/piano recital to the high school music students on Wednesday, May 26.The pianist is programming all Italian and American favorites.
