The Salvation Army Scranton Citadel Corps celebrated its 125th year of operations with a slate of concerts, ceremonies and festivities during the weekend of May 21 and 22. The events launched May 21 with a dinner at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton. Among the highlights of the dinner was a presentation of the OTHERS Award, the highest civilian honor bestowed by the Salvation Army, to Sister Adrian Barrett. The award is being sent for the presentation by the London offices of General Shaw Clifton, which oversees operations of the Salvation Army around the world.
