An area family took part in the 8th annual Lloyd T. Capwell Kiwanis Youth Triathlon Sunday, Aug. 1 at Nay Aug Park in Scranton. Shown above, from left, Vic Rosa, 15, a Lackawanna Trail student from Fleetville, with his cousins Stephanie Rosa 16, and Daniel Rosa, 11, both of Phillipsburg, N.J. Vic and Stephanie took part as a relay team with Stephanie swimming 200 -yards and Vic bicycling 5.2 miles and running two miles.
Their finishing time put them in first place with a time of 37.17 in the 15 to 18 age group. Daniel finished first in his age group with 100- yards of swimming, 2.6 bicycling and 1 mile running.
