The Scranton Plan, the industrial marketing arm of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, has appointed Kristin Driesbaugh, of Scranton, to the position of Economic Development Specialist.
Driesbaugh is responsible for attracting new industries, as well as assisting in the expansion of local businesses within Lackawanna County. She is responsible for implementing the marketing initiatives set forth by the Scranton Plan. Through prospect visits and tours, this initiative generates economic development projects which assist in the creation and retention of jobs to Lackawanna County.
Driesbaugh is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a concentration in Spanish. Driesbaugh joined the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce team in 2009 as a membership sales representative. She is a member of POWER (Professionals Organized and Working to Enrich the Region), Scranton chapter, the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association, and the Industrial Asset Management Council.
