In support of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, the public is invited to drop off old computer and electronic equipment and help save the Earth while supporting the Abington Community Library, 1200 West Grove Street, Clarks Summit, on Wednesday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A nominal fee will be collected for some items. Items accepted include: telephones/cell phones; computer monitors, $7; DVD players, VCRs; dehumidifiers $10; stereos and speakers; floor copiers $15; cables/cords; keyboards; washers and dryers $15; dishwashers $15; laptop computers; stoves $15; desktop computers $2; air conditioners $20; printers/fax machines; televisions $22; LCD monitors $2; floor freezers $25; small appliances; refrigerators $30
The event was planned in conjunction with the Great NEPA Clean-Up, sponsored by The Northeastern Pennsylvania Conservation Alliance and The Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority.
