Abington Heights High School will hold its annual Comet Classic Diving Invitational Dec. 11. The following weekend Dec. 18, the school will host its first Comets Classic Swimming Invitational.
The diving invitational will begin at 10:30 a.m. with an 8 a.m. warm-up. Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. rules will apply, and there are three levels of competition: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Beginners will perform four dives, intermediate six and advanced nine.
There is no restriction on the number of divers per school.
Deadline to register for the event is Dec. 6.
The swimming invitational will begin at 11 a.m. with a 9 a.m. warm-up. PIAA rules will apply, and swimmers will be limited to competing in no more than four events.
Each school may enter any number of athletes per event as long as they do not exceed the four -event limit.
Deadline to register for the event is Dec. 10.
