Oct. 3, at Lakeland High School, the Buddy Walk for Parents of Children with Down syndrome was held.
The walk raised more than $12,000 to be donated. The high school conducted a dress -down day for this event and raised $630, which was donated as well.
The walk was the senior project of, from left: Heather Smith, Adam Wychowanec, Matt Didato.
The students said they would like to thank everyone who donated time and money to make the event a success.
