Colin McCreary threw a three-hit shutout to lead Abington American to a 4-0 victory over Avon Grove and into the state final four among 10 to 11-year-old Little League baseball teams.
The victory allowed Abington American to finish 2-1 in the East qualifier to claim the second and final state spot out of the four teams in the round-robin competition.
McCreary, who struck out six, added two hits to the offense.
Anthony Duboski and Jake Swank also had two hits while Luke Fayocavitz, Chris Haudenschield and Nick Badalamente offered one each.
Council Rock/Newtown, which finished 3-0 to take the top spot in the qualifier, defeated Abington American, 5-2, Friday.
Abington American defeated Devon Strafford, 12-2, Saturday. The losers wound up 1-2.
Avon Grove finished 1-3.
The final four teams in the state will play August 5 to 8 at Cranberry Little League in Seneca.
