Keystone College, in conjunction with several business organizations and companies, will host a regional additive manufacturing summit on Friday, April 4 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Theatre in Brooks.

The summit will feature a variety of nationally-recognized speakers, industry experts, manufacturing executives and entrepreneurs who will discuss how additive manufacturing technology, also known as 3-D printing, is being used in a variety of business settings. Featured speakers include John Dobsetter, business consultant for Stratasys, Inc. and Jon Lash, CEO of Digital Atelier, LLC.

Additive manufacturing or 3-D printing uses materials such as plastics, carbon, fiber, or metal to produce three-dimensional objects. Rather than printing out a document, 3-D printers produce objects such as tools, parts for automobiles and machines, medical devices, art, and other objects.
