Since back to school time is usually hectic and often dreaded, why not add a hint of excitement to your school lunches with some nutritious food and drink options?

Shape it up sandwiches

Use cookie cutters to make fun shapes out of your sandwiches, cutting each ingredient, such as bread, meat and cheese, separately, then put everything in a sealed container. Then have some fun at lunch time putting your sandwich together with different shapes.

Mix it up snacks

Cut up your favorite fruits and put them in a resealable container. Put some nuts, raisins and dry cereal in separate containers. Then, mix the ingredients together or eat it separately. Add some excitement with a fun eating utensil and dig right in!

Twist it up water

Use some thin slices of fruit to create a little “twist” in your ordinary water. Fruits like limes, oranges, lemons, and cucumbers are great ones to try. The goal is to keep hydrated, so make it tasty. It will give you something to look forward to instead of plain water.
