Iva Klipple Bartholme, of Newton, died Monday morning, Jan. 4, at the Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was the wife of the late Raymond Bartholme, who died in 1996.
Born in Ransom, daughter of the late John and Laura Courtright Klipple. Prior to retirement she was a school teacher for Newton High School and later a substitute for Falls Overfield. She was a graduate of West Chester University. She was a member of Countryside Community Church and the Eastern Star Juanita Chapter No. 8 for over 50 years, Golden Star member.
Surviving are two sons Neil and wife Carol, and James, both of Newton; a daughter Demy Archibald and her husband Warren, Lancaster; a sister Cleta Leinbach and her husband Richard, Denver Colo.; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund Klipple
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Dr. J.P. Duncan, pastor of the Countryside Community Church. Interment will be in Milwaukee Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday, Jan. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m.
