Lackawanna County Commissioners A.J. Munchak and Robert C. Cordaro were recently presented with a check for $3,000 from Best Buy for sponsorship in their upcoming E-Cycling event. E-cycling is a new trend in recycling efforts that provides residents and businesses with a safe and easy way to dispose of retired electronics, while being compliant with federal and state laws. Lackawanna County will celebrate E-Cycling Day on Saturday, March 31 from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. at PNC Field (the former Lackawanna County Stadium), Montage Mountain Road, and Moosic. Those participating can recycle their old televisions, PC monitors and components, typewriters, fax machines, small home copiers, stereos, DVD players, VCRs, microwaves and cell phones. The cost is $5 per carload, which includes 1 monitor or television. There will be a cost of $5 for each additional monitor or television.
