On Sept.14, members of the St. Ann of Maronite Church in Scranton will host the 20th annual Lebanese Heritage Festival from noon to 7 p.m.

The festival began over two decades ago, when members of the parish were searching for a way to celebrate their Lebanese heritage. After deliberating, it was decided that a festival should be held after Mass on a Sunday afternoon.

That celebration evolved into the “must-see event” it is today.

Those in attendance can expect cultural crafts, activities, dancing and authentic Lebanese food. Dishes featured at the festival include kibbe, hushwe, loubia, tabouli, stuffed grape leaves, spinach, hummus, meat-pies and a vast array of specialty desserts.
