Carol Jewett Rostad of Manhattan, New York, died June 30, 2007.
She is survived by her daughter Laura K. Rostad, her parents Dr. Stephen Jewett and Mary E. Carlson Jewett, her sister Dale Jewett Sullivan, her brother Richard Jewett, and extended family members.
Formerly of Clarks Green, Carol graduated from Abington Heights High School in 1973. She earned a B.A. (magna cum laude) at Wesleyan University, a M.A. at Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies, a Ph.M. at Columbia University, and attended Doshisa University, Kyoto, Japan.
During her career, she was an economics instructor at Drew University, Madison, NJ and worked at Norinchukin Bank and Banco Santander in New York City. Since 1990, she was employed by General Reinsurance Corporation, and was a Vice President of GenRe Securities.
Carol was a Bridge Life Master and a member of the Manhattan Bridge Club.
