A study is being conducted locally to examine the influence of psychosocial factors on wear and tear in the body. The study is being conducted by Judith Scheatzle, a doctoral candidate at Capella University, as part of the requirements of the clinical psychology doctoral program. Studies are currently being performed in Scranton.
Scheatzle, of Clarks Summit, plans to recruit up to 80 healthy women between the ages of 35 and 45 to study the relationships between life circumstances and biological aging as reflected in their heart rate variability. For more information or to volunteer, call 650-2801.
