More than 25 people attended the first meeting for the Community Garden Project of the Abington Area Joint Recreation Board held November 17. According to Barb Grabfelder, plans are moving forward to make the garden a reality for the Spring 2008 planting season. The location has been selected and soil tested.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Clarks Summit Borough Building, 304 South State Street, Clarks Summit in Loughney Hall, on the second floor. Use the elevator on the Spring Street side of the building. Free parking is available in the lot behind the building. Call 586-8841 with questions.
