John Volmink, Ph.D., President of Cornerstone Christian College in Cape Town, South Africa, will be speaking at Parker Hill Community Church, 607 N. Abington Road, Clarks Summit, on Sunday, May 13 at 6 p.m.
Dr. Volmink completed his Ph.D. in mathematics education at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in 1988 and returned to South Africa to work in concert with then President Nelson Mandela. Volmink played a key role in development initiatives as the Director for the Advancement of Science and Mathematics Education in Durban, South Africa.
A South African who lived through apartheid, Volmink has emerged as a leader in both the educational and political arenas as well as the church.
The public is invited to hear Volmink share from his education and experience as a world-changer.
