The Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority (LHVA) is has announced that its 2007-08 Educational Mini-Grant Program is now open for applications. LHVA will award ten grants of $500 each to educators in the Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit 19 service area. Teachers of preschool to grade 12 students may apply. The grant application deadline is Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at 4:30 p.m.
New for this season, LHVA will host a free Educational Mini-Grant Program Workshop on Monday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Electric City Trolley Station and Museum in Scranton. The workshop will review the mini-grant program guidelines and application process. Teachers interested in applying to the Educational Mini-Grant Program are strongly encouraged to attend the workshop.
