Mini-Grants available

Skills in Scranton, the business- education partnership of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, is accepting applications for the 2007- 2008 Mini Grants for Teachers program.
Mini-Grants of up to $500 are available for educators who are interested in creating special projects to benefit students. All teachers, guidance counselors, school nurses, or librarians employed by non-profit schools of Northeastern Intermediate Unit 19, the Diocese of Scranton, and private schools are eligible.
Applications can be obtained from school principals of by calling the Chamber at 342-7711. In addition, interested individuals may download the Mini-Grants for Teachers applications at minigrants.html. Guidelines for the program can also be obtained via download from the site or by contacting the Chamber.
