Arthur Jones, 84, of Dalton, died Sunday, Sept. 9 at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. He was the widow of the former Anne Santarsiero, whom died in 1984.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Emma Geisler Jones. He was a resident of Falls Twp. for more than 55 years. Prior to retirement, he worked in the Maintenance for Capitol Records Department for more than 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He fought a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a kind and loving father. He enjoyed Ballroom and Polka dancing as well as Atlantic City Casino trips with his lady friend, Agnes Josephite. He was a former avid hunter and fisherman while enjoying his dog, Madison.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur G. and his wife Bonnie and Robert, and his wife JoAnne; two daughters Arlene Dickinson, and her husband Dennis and Jane Miller and her husband, William all living in Dalton; seven grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery.
