William B. Jayne

William B. Jayne, 76, Chinchilla, died Monday, August 6, at the Community Medical Center in Scranton. His wife was the former Jean Houser Jayne, who died in November of 2003.
Born in Clarks Summit, he was the son of the late W. Alton and Mildred MacDonald Jayne. He had lived in Chinchilla for the past 50 years and was the co-owner of Jayne Brothers Co., in Chinchilla, which was started in 1954. He was a member of Clarks Green Assembly of God and a former head usher for 30 years, as well as the Sunday School Superintendent.
Surviving are a son, William B. Jr., and his wife Betsy, Clarks Summit; two daughters, Wanda Howell, and her husband Gary, Tunkhannock and Valerie Antonio, and her husband James, Pittston Twp.; six grandchildren, Jamie, Gary, and Ryan Howell, Sarah, William B. III and Jeremy Jayne; great-granddaughter, Madison Howell; three brothers, Glenn, Clarks Summit, Robert and James both of Archbald and John, Lansdale; a sister Dorothy Jayne, Glenside.
He was preceded in death by a brother Charles.
A funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 8, at 10 a.m. at the Clarks Green Assembly of God Church, with services by Rev. Glenn H. White, pastor. Interment will be in Clarks Green Cemetery.
