Leonard L. Rosipko, 83, of Clarks Summit, died Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Allied Skilled Nursing Facility. He was the husband of the former Rose DeRigge Harhood. The couple celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary July 28.
Born April 10, 1924, in Olyphant, son of the late Michael and Mary Spager Rosipko, he was a resident of Glenburn since 1963 and formerly resided in Olyphant. A 1942 graduate of Olyphant High School, he served honorably in the Army during World War II and received honors and medals for his dedicated service. He had been employed by the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad in the baggage department and later worked at the Country Club of Scranton and the Jacobson Hat Co., Scranton. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.
Also surviving are three stepdaughters, Nancy Connors and husband, Edward, Clarks Summit; Mary Osterhout, Clarks Summit; and Karen Trovato and husband, Carmen, Dalton; a stepson, Charles and wife, Martha, Newton Township; a brother, Michael, Olyphant; seven stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
The funeral was held from Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Coburn Ave., Clarks Summit, with Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Snows Church. Interment will be private in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Blakely.
