Featured in the new and yet-to-be-named art gallery at the Dietrich Theater are photos of wild mustangs of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, captured by Coralea Scranta of Tunkhannock. The exhibit can be viewed through March anytime movies are shown or by appointment. A reception for the public to meet Coralea Scranta will be Friday, March 21 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The subjects of the photos are North Carolina Spanish mustangs, direct descendants of the survivors of the original herd that swam to shore in the 1800’s from Spanish galleons that sank off the coast of North Carolina.
