Sem senior Onofrey earns Alumni Service Award

Wyoming Seminary seniors Lauren Onofrey, left, of Waverly, and Jeffrey Kratz, of Kingston, received the 2007 Alumni Service Awards during Homecoming on September 29 in recognition of their leadership and service to the Wyoming Seminary community. Onofrey, daughter of Michele and David Onofrey, is a Levi Sprague Fellow, and is active in the Action and Awareness group, Blue Key service organization, Environmental Awareness group, Library Advisory Board, Math Club, Model UN, student newspaper and Spanish Club. She serves on the Community Service Executive Committee and participates in Kids Café, Library Assistants, Peer Tutoring and Relay for Life.
In the community she volunteers with the Abington Community Library Teen Literature Committee, the Red Cross Youth Council and the Red Cross Board of Directors. Onofrey was also one of 12 Seminary students recently inducted into the Cum Laude Society, the national academic honor society for college preparatory schools.
