Lavina H. Maas

Lavina H. Maas, Dalton died early Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Laurels at Mid Valley in Peckville. She was the widow of Elmer Mass, who died in 1993.
Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Robbins Salmon. Prior to retirement, she was an Instructor for the International Correspondence School. She was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church. She enjoyed talking about her childhood in Pyne Pass Patch of Taylor.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth, and his wife, Leslie, Dalton; three daughters, Joan Hanes, Dalton, June Newnham and her husband, Albert, West Chester and Holly Matthews and her husband, Richard, Furlong; a sister, Wayne Nardozza, Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit
