Graduate travels to South Africa

Tomas J. Donavan, a 2001 graduate of Mid Valley Secondary Center is traveling to South Africa with California State University. Donovan is the son of James J. and Deborah A. Donovan, Dickson City and grandson of Ann Koziar, Olyphant and Germaine McGuire, Dickson City. He earned his B.S. in Education at Lock Haven University in 2006. Currently a graduate student at Seton Hill University working toward his MBA, Donovan serves as Assistant Director of Student Affairs at the university.
Donovan left on May 21 for a two-week educational tour in three regions of South Africa including stops in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. The class is designed for participants to develop an understanding of the structure of higher education in South Africa and gain insight into issues and strategic directions of student affairs.
