Camp Create Pottery and Sculpture, June 23 – 27, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Waverly Community House. Campers ages 6-16 will craft their own pottery using various techniques, tools and their imaginations. Cost: $85 (includes materials). Scholarships available. Registration deadline: June 19. The Sandlot Summer Softball Camp, June 23 – 25, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Schautz Stadium in Dunmore. This camp for ages 7-13 will cover all aspects of the game, offering mid-season instruction. Cost: $100. To register, email CDD027@aol.com or call 570-445-1155.

Comm Camps, Week one is June 30 – July 3, Wild Animal and Dinosaur Week; week two is July 7 – 11, Comm Camp Olympics; week three is July 14 – 18, Comm-istry and Cosmos; week four is July 21-25, Under the Big Top Circus Week; week five is July 28 – Aug. 1, Farm Frenzy and week six is Aug. 4 – 8, Time Travel Week. Endless Mountains Nature Center’s Nature Day Camps, June 30 – Aug. 8 at at the Nature Center at Keystone College and one week at at Little Rocky Glen. Campers age four through sixth grade will explore nature with games, hiking, meeting live animals, stories, crafts, creating a journal and more. Students in seventh through 12th grade can gain experience as Counselors-in-Training, helping the staff lead games, setting up activities, making craft projects and exploring with the campers. Earth Camp, July 1 – 30, Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Hillside Park, For students entering fifth, sixth and seventh grades. Focusing on environment, art, and health, Earth Camp is packed with recreation, education, and exploration, with activities such as canoeing, fishing, nature crafts, water painting, volcano making, water discovery, interpretive hiking, pottery, sports, team building activities, games, rocketry, pottery, zumba, self-defense, and more. Super Summer Slam Day Camp, July 7-11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hosted by the Evangelical Free Bible Church of Clarks Summit at Joe Terry Civic Center, Montdale. Students age six through sixth grade are invited to join in a fun-filled week of activities with meaningful content, including games, songs, magic and balloon twisting, Bible application and more. All About Pottery and Sculpture Camps, at the Dietrich Theater. Camp 1 is July 7 to 11 and camp 2 is August 4 to 8, both held Monday through Friday, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Students ages 5 to 12 will explore the medium of clay as they work on potter’s wheels and learn hand-building (coil and slab construction) and sculpting techniques.
