CLARKS SUMMIT – Local holistic living store Everything Natural will host a Bail for Bales event for local farm animal refuge Indraloka Animal Sanctuary from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

Barry Kaplan, co-owner of Everything Natural, will be behind bars in his store, urging shoppers and other members of the community to bail him out by donating towards bales of hay to feed the animals at the sanctuary and keep them warm this winter.

“Everything Natural is more than happy to support the important work of a truly dedicated team of volunteers who provide a safe and happy home for animals who have no other place to go – a genuine sanctuary,” said Kaplan in an email to The Abington Journal. “Working together to provide Bail for Bales fits right in with the year-round contributions that both we and customers of Everything Natural make through our Wooden Nickel campaign.”

A square bale is $5, a round bale is $35 and donations of any size are welcome. Donations can be made in-store, by phone at 570-763-2908 or online at tlgets.me/f4m.

Everything Natural is hosting Bail for Bales for Indraloka Animal Sanctuary as a part of #GivingTuesday, a worldwide movement to combat Black Friday and Cyber Monday and encourage people to get excited about giving in the same way they might get excited about buying a big-screen TV at a bargain price. The sanctuary is celebrating the movement throughout the month of December with several events and opportunities to give back.
