First Posted: 9/10/2014

Through September Debra Lee Osborne’s pen and ink and watercolor works will be on display in the Earnshaw Gallery at the Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock.

Visitors can view her depictions of historic buildings Tunkhannock residents either remember or pass by, her doorway “Passages” series, or her interpretation of the grace of a dancing figure.

Osborne, a Laceyville, resident, showed an interest in drawing with colored pencils at the age of two, with offers to purchase her work when she was five. Taking time off to raise a family, she returned to her art when she was thirty-eight.

Her works were displayed at ARTISANworks Gallery in Rochester, New York. Samples can be found online at

The Dietrich Theater exhibit is sponsored by Lech’s Pharmacy, Community Bank of NA, Gay’s True Value, Sherwood Chevrolet Buick GMC, Laceyville Thrift and Vintage, and Herron Lumber Company.

All are invited to attend the closing reception for Osborne’s Reflections exhibit Sunday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m., a chance to meet the artist and see videos of her creating her works. The exhibit is open to all whenever movies are shown or by appointment. For information call 570-996-1500.
