State Rep. Marty Flynn is inviting local gun owners and interested persons to attend a free seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 or 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at Lackawanna College Police Academy. Participants can learn about the rights and responsibilities that accompany a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

The training will be presented by Associate Director of Firearms Training for Lackawanna College Police Academy Gene Michinski, U. S. Secret Service (Ret.) and by Sgt. Phillip Myers, Firearms and General Instructor for Lackawanna College Police Academy and Training Officer for Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.

In Pennsylvania, residents must be at least 21 years old to obtain a concealed carry permit.

Space is limited for each seminar and those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by calling Flynn’s office at 570-342-4348.
