The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, under the baton of Maestro Lawrence Loh, will open its 2014-2015 Pops series with An Evening with Jenny Oaks Baker Friday, Oct. 17 at the Theater at Lackawanna College, Scranton, and Saturday, Oct. 18, at the F.M. Kirby Center, Wilkes-Barre. Both concerts begin at 8 p.m.

Baker is a world renowned recording artist. She released 12 albums since 1998, and these critically acclaimed CD’s sold more than 250,000 copies. This will be a return visit by Baker, who performed with many of the world’s greatest orchestras and was featured in the Philharmonic July 3-4 concerts, 2013. The violinist fuses classical, rock and roll, Broadway, inspirational, Disney and film music, creating a family night out.
