Clarks Green resident Michael Jenkins, Ph.D., a criminal justice professor at The University of Scranton, will hold a book launch reception from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, on the fifth floor of Brennan Hall on the university’s campus.

The book, “Police Leaders in the New Community Problem-Solving Era,” co-authored by Jenkins and John DeCarlo, chronicles police executives as they assist in moving their police departments into what the title and text describe as a “New Community Problem-Solving Era.”

Given unprecedented access to the Boston, Los Angeles, Milwaukee and Newark police departments, the cases are built using observations of police activities, in-depth interviews, surveys and archival reviews.
