The Lackawanna Historical Society will host members of the Confederation of Union Generals Saturday, Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. for a wine and cheese reception at the Catlin House, 232 Monroe Ave., Scranton.

The generals will return to Scranton Oct. 4 for a train ride to East Stroudsburg with Steamtown National Historic Site. That evening, the Society will host a wine and cheese reception with the generals. Both events will offer an opportunity for a first-hand experience with living historians who animate the past for young and old alike, connecting the general public with this defining time in the country’s history.

The fee for the reception is $10, and reservations are required.
