Carnival games, a dunk tank, face painting, cotton candy, ice cream courtesy of Manning’s, a photo booth, food trucks, a haunted house, fire truck rides and more filled the the Abington Heights High School parking lot Aug. 29 for the district’s Back to School Carnival. Live music was provided by local bands Fresh Evidence and Master Fox and solo musician James Barrett.

Excitement was in the air as students clung to fond memories of summer, while anticipating the fun of an upcoming school year. Here’s what some students had to say.
