From the limousine service, to the mini massages and from the wine and cheese tasting to the fall fashion show, attendees at Diva Night Out in the Abingtons are to be treated as just that — divas!
Hosted by the Abington Business and Professional Association (ABPA) from 5 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 29 at Nichols Village Hotel and Spa, Clarks Summit, the event serves as a fun night out for local women and a fundraiser to help offset the costs of free ABPA events, such as Fall Fun, the Festival of Ice, Holiday Open House and more.
“It is electric,” said Deborah Kennedy, co-chair, describing the atmosphere of the annual event, now in its fourth year. “Right from the start you are treated like a ‘diva.’ The Limo Guy will pick up the ‘divas’ at Weis Market and bring you to the event in style. The lighting and special furnishings offered by MCR productions makes you feel like you are at a Hollywood party. The chefs at Nichols create mouth-watering savory dishes and delectable desserts.”
Co-chair Ellen Yuscavage said what she enjoys most about Diva Night is “seeing all the ladies dressed up and enjoying themselves.”
“It is such a fun environment that you don’t want to miss it,” she said.
Activities of the night include food and desserts, a cash bar, wine and cheese tasting, mini pampering stations, a silent auction, entertainment and various vendors displaying treats and holiday wares. A fall fashion show will be presented by Sonia’s Contemporary Clothing, Paulette’s Pretty Purses and Pierre’s. Massages will be offered by Artistic Elegance. Attendees with have the opportunity to get their photographs taken by K Hart Photography.
A limited amount of vendor space is still open and interested vendors who feel their products or services are a match for the “diva” theme may contact Kennedy at 570-954-6799.
Tickets to the event are also limited and can be purchased in advance only for $25 by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or in person at the following Clarks Summit locations: Fidelity Bank, Peoples Security Bank, Everything Natural, Nichols Village Hotel and Spa and Sonia’s Contemporary Clothing.
