Tens of thousands of dancers throughout the world will come together at 5 p.m. Oct. 25 for “Thrill the World,” a global flash mob which attempts to break the world record of “Largest Simultaneous Dance to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller.’” This year, the Scranton Cultural Center will join the celebration, with a fundraiser for its youth programming and the Matthew Flynn Memorial Scholarship.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. with registration and family activities occurring until the official dance at 5 p.m. After the dance is concluded, participants are invited to partake in a “Zombie Crawl,” which will feature many downtown businesses. Participants will be given a map which indicates what businesses are participating along with the specials they are providing.
