Abington Heights School District Special Education Department will conduct a special education parent information session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 in the Administration Building, second floor, 200 E. Grove St., Clarks Summit.
The meeting will focus on the evolving of life skills support services into a vocational academic functional curriculum (VAFC). All community members are invited to attend, and a sign language interpreter will be present.
The topics for the monthly sessions throughout the school year will be planned based upon parents’ surveys and program/services updates.
Dates for other upcoming sessions include: Nov. 18, Jan. 13, Feb. 17, March 17, April 14 and May 12. All meetings are held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the administration building.
