Seven community members were given invitational applications to join Lions Club International, the world’s largest organization.

The “magnificent seven” were unanimously approved not only by the Board of Directors, but also by the members at large. The new inductees will now become members of the Abington Lions Club.

At a recent induction ceremony, District 14-H Governor and Lion, Mark Kusma, administered the oath and mission statement. Governor Kusma presented each new member a Lions Club International Certificate which contains the official gold seal and signature of International President Lion Barry J. Ralmer of Australia. Each new member was “pinned” with a Lions Club International Lapel logo which is worn by 1.37 million global lions in 207 countries.
