The Ransom Township Board of Supervisors voted on two subdivision plans at its Feb. 3 meeting, according to township Secretary-Treasurer Sarah Griggs. The Jomar 2008 and the Dorothy Richards Estate re-subdivision both received approval.

The Jomar 2008 subdivision approval includes three stipulations: review and approval by the Lackawanna County Planning Commission, Newton Township’s review and approval regarding the portion of the parcel which crosses its municipal line and the obtaining of a highway occupancy permit from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Griggs said the Supervisors also appointed a new Planning Commission member during the meeting. Louis Borgia will fill the seat vacated by Brad Steckel, who resigned due to family obligations.

The next Supervisors meeting is scheduled for March 3 and the next Planning Commission meeting for February 17, both at the Ransom Township Municipal building, 2435 Hickory Lane at 7 p.m.
