Summit Christian Academy boys basketball team made school history finishing the regular season undefeated.
On Feb. 14 the team finished its regular season with a record of 20 – 0.
Led by Head Coach DJ Cross, the team headed into the NYPENN conference tournament at Davis College in Johnson City, NY Feb. 17 and 18.
The team added another win for the year in the first game of the tournament Friday against Twin Tiers Christian Academy of Horseheads, NY. 55-39.
Freedom Village handed the team its first an only loss of the season, defeating Summit Christian 55-46 Saturday.
To honor the players a “Welcome Home Reception” was held at the school, located at 660 Griffin Pond Rd, Clarks Summit February 18.
Dozens of fans and family members were on hand for the surprise welcoming.
Refreshments for the “Welcome Home Reception” were donated by John Antolick, owner of the Inne of the Abingtons in Dalton, an SCA alum, former player and current board member of the school.
